Got the best compliment I could ask for yesterday when a new reader told me she managed to devote 8% of yesterday to reading my old posts. Here's a link to her site on living and eating in the South Indian city of Chennai. I'll be adding a blogroll shortly with other sites I often visit.
I wanted to thank my readers again - in the last week I've seen daily page views surpass 100. I'll try to continue offering up content that gets you excited enough to keep stopping by everyday to see what's new in New Delhi.
To that effect, here are two awesome new videos on India from YouTube. The first is a reflection of the cricket fever that's taken hold over 'Old India, out here in the East, since the Cricket Worldcup began back in the West Indies on Monday. Bars are open later, people miss work, and lunch conversations are dominated by stories of 'off-spin bowlers speeding balls down sticky wicket pitches while star batsman fight off inside tosses for square drives' (wikipedia cricket terms for the uninitiated). The clip, a new Nike ad, makes life in India look like just another cricket match... and what a match it is!
The second video shows quite a different angle on this rubik's-cube-of-a-country. It's a beautiful view of the "Invisible Side of India" - a picture you only glimpse today but that you may see all around you if you visit in 10 years...
Check out these videos, cook up some hot curry, and start planning your Indian vacation.
